Knee Pain Treatment in Burlington

If you suffer from knee pain, it is a symptom that can be caused by many reasons, like a specific injury — where there’s swelling or major trauma to the knee from an accident or fall, or because of gait and biomechanics.

When patients come to us with knee issues, we assess the pelvis all the way down to the foot to see what exactly causes the knee to feel that way.

How Chiropractic and Physiotherapy May Help

Chiropractic is a hands-on therapy aimed at correcting the source of musculoskeletal problems. It’s natural health care, without drugs or surgery, that works for short-term issues, gets you out of pain and can be successful in helping alleviate knee pain.

Often, Dr. Obeid will also recommend physiotherapy. This form of rehabilitative health care is concerned with human function, movement, and maximizing potential.

Ultimately, the focus is reduction of pain and correction of dysfunction and injury. By helping your body move and function to its fullest, physiotherapy may improve the quality of your life and make you stronger by improving your flexibility, freedom, mobility, vitality and so much more.

What to Expect

After filling out paperwork in advance of your first appointment, Dr. Obeid or a member of his team will review it to have a better handle on what you are experiencing, your lifestyle, and your health history. You will then receive standard physical, orthopedic, neurological, and chiropractic tests to determine the root cause(s) of your problem.

If further diagnostic imaging is necessary, we will let you know and additional views may be taken to visualize the location of any spinal problems, reveal any pathology, and make your chiropractic care more precise. If necessary, an adjustment may be done at this time. A second visit will be scheduled.

Your Report of Findings

During your second visit, the doctor will give you a report of findings, as well as his recommendations for care. This will include a diagnosis, how we plan to fix the problem, when you should expect results, and how much it will cost. If you decide to proceed, you’ll receive your care plan and schedule the next visits.
